About GlucoRx
GlucoRx Limited, founded in Woking, Surrey in 2010, is already the NHS’ second-largest suppliers of quality diabetic products. The company commits to:
1. improving patient lives; making a real difference is something that its entire staff is very passionate about
2. saving the NHS money with diabetes management solutions that are one-third cheaper than their competitors, without compromising on quality and patient care.
Helping our NHS
GlucoRx saved the NHS around £18 million in the past three years and aims to save the NHS £100 million as they reach out to more Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across the UK. GlucoRx prides itself on prioritising patient care so profits can go towards extra nurses, newer equipment, greater research and reinvested into care of the local community.
As the company has grown, so has its product portfolio. GlucoRx boasts the second most popular blood glucose meter in the country with its high specification “Nexus” model. The company’s success can be attributed to the fact that it is uniquely positioned in not only using advanced GDH-FAD enzyme technology in its blood glucose meters, but also offers to the NHS at a very competitive price. GlucoRx works closely with CCGs to help them realise the significant savings that can be achieved by utilising its product range; the fact that patients love using the products reinforces the company’s ethos.
Following the success of its blood glucose meters, GlucoRx launched its own brand of Insulin Pen needles (“FinePoint”), and within twelve months captured 30% of the market and is now also the most used pen needle in the country.
On 1 February 2016, GlucoRx launched its revolutionary new HCT & Ketone meter for Type 1 patients which will change the way they monitor their diabetes. Patients will be able to achieve a more accurate blood Glucose result using patented Haematocrit Correction Technology, in addition to measuring ketone, haematocrit and haemoglobin level for a wider health check.
The company continues to work with a number of local organisations to help raise awareness of diabetes, setting up a number of fundraising events for local charities. GlucoRx’s establishment in the healthcare industry has resulted from its excellent customer service and working proactively with R&D partners to identify and launch emerging technologies specialising in the diabetic field. Upcoming GlucoRx products aim to match the quality of brand leaders, yet still provide a cost effective solution.
